OVERVIEW
With hundreds of bones and joints in the body, it’s no wonder clients often experience pain, discomfort, or trouble in these areas - especially as they age. And these people often intersect with Pilates, because Pilates is known to improve bone and joint health thanks to it’s ability to effectively strengthen without causing irritation.
Lauren and Lyssa, Co-Founders of Athletic Lab, are going to help us get smarter on a few of the most common bone and joint disorders: Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, Arthritis, and Bursitis. They will lead us through a discussion about the disorders themselves, contraindications, recommendations for how to improve these disorders, and application to Pilates exercises and equipment.
